Can Death chase us?

You must have watched the movie series called " Final Destination".

The movie, in brief, is about how some people manage to cheat Death. But ultimately, Death comes knocking at their doors. One by one, each of them gets the type of death they were supposed to get. You cannot cheat death.

The movie really creeps me out. I would often wonder if this could happen in real life.

I never believed that the concept of this movie could be real, until one day, I came across the following stories. The first is an article that I read in our local newspaper when I was at school. My mother told me about the article. The second actually happened to my father's uncle

One morning, as I was getting ready for school, my mother asked me to read an article that was published in our local newspaper.

After reading the article I was really freaked out. Whatever was written in the article of the newspaper, it made me question death. It was eerie and almost impossible to believe.

The article was about a man. He was suffering from cancer and was trying everything possible to cure himself.

This man has been battling with cancer. He had tried every possible treatment. He went to every known doctor in the country. Finally, after much struggle, he survived. He was finally cured.

The man was very happy to have survived such a deadly disease. He felt that he was able to defeat death.

After a few days, the man was on his way to the market. While returning from the market, he saw his friend on the opposite side of the lane. His friend called him out. The man was about to cross the road when a truck came out of nowhere and hit him. The man was dead on the spot.

The story has an atmosphere of eerieness around it.

I will tell you another similar story which often made me ponder on this subject. This happened to one of my father's Uncle.

When I was about 16 years old, my father's uncle had a heart attack. He was diagnosed with a heart problem.

After visiting many doctors and undergoing several treatments, he was finally out of danger. We were all very relieved.

After a few days, he got sick again. He was suffering from a headache and fever. A week later he died of Encephalitis, as there was no cure at that time and the doctors were not able to diagnose his disease.

The irony in both the stories is that although, through various means both the men were able to evade death, but ultimately they were only delaying the inevitable. Their fate was sealed. They managed to cheat death once, but then death came knocking at their doors

If you have similar stories/incidents I would love to hear from you in the comments below.
